Family had always been the most important thing in Ron’s life. There was rather a lot of it, and not a lot of anything else. “Blood is thicker than water,” his mother would say.
But there was another type of family. The one you made yourself. One that slept curled up against you, a hand resting on your hipbone and hair tickling your neck.
One whose name you had called first when you opened your eyes in hospital after the Final Battle, yet who you hardly dared hope would be there.
Whose beautiful green eyes had smiled down at you.
