Harry and Ron tried to keep in touch with people at Hogwarts after the War.
Harry always popped down to the kitchens to catch up with Dobby while they were there, while Ron dropped in on Charlie, who had taken over teaching Care of Magical Creatures after Hagrid moved to France.
Ron was poking idly round Charlie’s rebuilt cottage, waiting for his brother to return from teaching his Slytherin fifth years, when he heard a snuffling sound from a crate in the corner.
Further inspection revealed four nifflers, diving through their straw as if it were water.
“Hey there,” Ron said, picking one up and stroking it.
It nuzzled his jaw and he crooned to it, sitting down on Charlie’s bed and holding it in his lap.
It wriggled with happiness and sniffed at the shiny clasps on his robes, so Ron removed them and tried to put them in his pocket.
“You’re a friendly little chap, aren’t you?” he asked it, scritching it behind an ear as it stuck its nose in his pocket.
It squirmed against him, pushing open his robes, to reveal traditional Wizarding nakedness beneath them.
“Oh, no you don’t,” Ron laughed, trying to keep hold of the suddenly ecstatic bundle of fur.

Harry met Charlie on his way down the grounds, and they were chatting happily as they approached the cottage.
Until they heard a rather strange noise from inside.
“No, Merlin, no” someone was moaning. “You can’t…” It ended with a yelp and a groan and a keening sound.
“What on earth?” Charlie said.
“Um, that’s Ron,” Harry said, blushing. “He sounds, um, excited.”
“Excited?” Charlie echoed.
Harry made an obscene gesture. “Excited.”
“Oh!” Charlie said. “But then who is he with?” He looked nervously at Harry, who frowned and threw open the door.
To find Ron, flat on his back on the bed.
Stark naked and with a delirious niffler writhing in his lap.
“Harry,” he gasped. “I can’t get this cock ring off!”
