“What d’you mean you won’t make it, next month?” Seamus demanded indignantly. “Ron turned up for a swift half while Hermione was in labour!”
“Which is still classified information,” Ron muttered.
Harry and Neville snorted into their pints.
“I promised Luna I’d go with her,” Dean said. “I can miss one drink.”
“One Gryffindor Boys drink,” Seamus said darkly.
Dean sighed.
“Where are you going, anyway?” Seamus asked him.
“Africa.”
“Family reunion?” Seamus pouted.
“Stop it, Shay,” Dean said gently.
“Well, what on earth are you going to Africa, for?”
“To look for invisible red elephants,” Dean said with great dignity.
“Invisible?” said Harry.
“Red?” said Neville.
“Elephants?” said Seamus.
“That’s almost normal, for Luna,” said Ron.
“Dean?”
Dean sighed.
“They’re not actually invisible,” he muttered.
“You surprise me,” Ron said.
“It’s… in Tsavo, in Kenya… they… they throw the red earth over themselves and they end up as red elephants.”
“And the invisible part?” Neville prompted.
“They do it because Blibbering Humdingers are colour blind,” he admitted. “So, if elephants are turning themselves red, it’s because Blibbering Humdingers are in the area, and they don’t want to be seen.”
