Of course it was Ron I really wanted, always had been.
After the war, I’d tried to avoid Ginny, but Hermione had pointed me firmly at her and I’d let myself be pushed.
It hadn’t lasted.
Before I’d had a chance to break up with her, she’d been kidnapped.
I’d received a square inch of her freckled skin each day, while the Aurors frantically searched for her.
By the time they found her, I couldn’t bear to look at Ron’s freckles.
You’d almost think that that was why they did it.
I didn’t like the way Hermione looked at me.
