Twenty Random Facts About Scorpius Malfoy - PG-13

Twenty Facts

1) Scorpius's first memory is of his Nanna Malfoy creeping into his nursery and pressing an ear to his chest. His Father never mentions it, but his Mamma always says 'Nanna is coming over for tea, Scorpius, breathe loudly.'
2) His second is of his Father taking him hunting, and the smell of the bloody mark on his forehead. He must have been five? Six? He thinks his Mamma was pregnant at the time, because she wretched at the sight of the blood and ran for the bathroom. But she lost so many babies, trying for the spare, that that doesn't narrow it down.
3) A house elf was permanently on duty, in his bedroom. He was supposed to keep Nanna's mind at rest by listening to him breathe, in his sleep; Nanna would not have approved of the food, and then cigarettes and then whiskey, that Dunny smuggled upstairs, for him.
4) When his Father gave him The Talk, he went out of his way to assure him that Dunny knew nothing about self pleasure, and wouldn't notice a brisk, manly wank, when necessary.
5) Father assured him that a good Pureblooded witch would be selected for him, in time, and that, should he have urges before that time, well, the Muggle girls in the village were accommodating. But to try and avoid the blond ones.
6) Father warned him that his name would precede him, when he started school. He never named names, but heavily implied that Harry Potter had sons of his age, and was sure they'd been brought up with their father's prejudices.
7) The Sorting Hat had had to prompt him to come up with an ambition – anything, no matter how small – before sighing and saying 'Slytherin, I suppose'. Not to let his Father down counted as an ambition.
8) He was startled to find out that the small Potters and Weasleys did, indeed, have their fathers' prejudices, but that that consisted of them not realising he existed.
9) Madam Pomfrey gave him a very hard look when he asked her to teach him the Silencing Charm, muttering about boys in First Year really not needing it, yet, so he'd said it was because Jepser Nott snored. His roommates were far more tolerant of him when they weren't kept awake by his breathing.
10) By the time he needed the Charm for anything else, it was fourth year and he'd convinced himself he fancied Rose Weasley, just because he was feeling rebellious and his Father had gruffly warned him against consorting with her. All he felt was vaguely guilty, because she was actually quite nice.
11) Even though he'd shaken his head frantically and run away when Benedict Goyle had touched his prick, in the showers, he spent a lot of fifth year watching James Potter playing Quidditch.
12) Luckily, summer after fifth year, one of the Muggle girls in the village developed huge breasts. And non-blond pubic hair.
13) It was easiest to let Father choose his NEWTs for him. It's not like he was going to have to work, after all.
14) Unfortunately, summer after sixth year, the Muggle girl in the village told him she was about to develop a huge belly.
15) He never asked where Dunny got the Potion from, but getting her to take it was easier than telling his Father what had happened. His father hadn't understood why he'd felt the need to take care of things; it proved a boy's potency, after all.
16) By the time he left school, Margarita Nott's father had agreed to the match, anyway, and there were three Muggle girls in the village with blond babies at their breast. He heard his Mother say something about his Father having had to take matters into his own hands.
17) Margarita settled in just fine, sitting happily with his Mother and Nanna and sewing as they stared at her visibly expanding body.
18) He kept himself busy. Walked a lot, in the grounds; took care of the estate.
19) Didn't think too closely about the dates on which he'd slept with his new wife.
20) Nevertheless, little Honorius Malfoy was born with a full head of white blond hair. He heard his Mother say something about his Father having had to take matters into his own hands.
