Ginny thinks she can fool me with this Dean Thomas crap.
I am almost completely convinced that it was just a wind up. Dean is completely wrong for her. He is far too laid back, too mellow. I know; I share a room with him.
It would drive her crazy not to have someone to spar with; someone with a bit of fight in them, someone who gets her sense of humour – who can cope with the twins!
And, well, I have the whole summer to convince her of the fact, as she won’t see Dean again until school in September.
A whole summer to stress what we went through in the Department of Mysteries, how it brought us closer together.
Yeah. How we stood shoulder-to-shoulder, how she has been through a lot, is too grown up to date random Ravenclaw idiots who care more about a Quidditch match than their girlfriend. Though don’t tell anyone I said that.
I wonder if I dare mention the Chamber?? No, while you could get Prince Charming Rescuing Sleeping Beauty from that, you can also get Being Mind Fucked By A Homicidal Maniac, and I don’t want to put her off.
No, I want her to be convinced that she is the only one who’d be able to see past all the Boy Who Lived crap, to the screwed up guy underneath, who really needs her.
Look, I’m his best mate and her brother, I’m the only one who can get them together.
