*gives you a pointed look, and tries to crowbar it all in*

With the Death Eaters in control at the Ministry, they were all having to hide in Muggle London.

Harry was going stir crazy at Grimmauld Place and decided to take Ginny out for the day, figuring they should make the most of London.

They strolled along the river, like a normal couple, and Harry’s eyes lit up at the sight of the London Eye.

Ginny clung to his arm as the queue snaked back and forth along the embankment, before tentatively stepping into a podule.

“I don’t like it,” she murmured, standing in the circle of his arms, as they rose slowly into the air.

“You’re the most fearless flyer I know,” Harry protested.

“But I’m in control on a broom,” she said. “We’re trapped, here!”

“Not trapped,” he said firmly, kissing her. “We’re hidden away from the world. It’s romantic; there’s a beautiful view, there’s a beautiful girl, there’s…”

“A Death Eater on a broom outside the next podule,” Ginny hissed.

Harry turned to look.

“Shit, shit, shit,” he muttered, pulling his Invisibility Cloak out of his pocket and swirling it around them.

“Harry, this stupid thing’ll take another twenty minutes to get back to the ground!”

“I could Side-Along you away…”

“You can’t; you know Apparition is being tracked.”

The Death Eater blew a hole in the next podule and threw something in; the Muggles clutched their throats and fell to the floor, hopefully asleep.

“Harry, they…”

“Hush!” Harry said. “Bubble Head Charms, quickly.”

There was a crash behind them as glass broke, and a vial of purple liquid was thrown to the floor.

“Sleeping Draught,” Ginny whispered, as their Muggles were mown down like ninepins.

The Death Eater dropped through the broken window and swiftly turned over each body, casting a whispered Finite Incantatum, in case of glamours.

Ginny sucked in a breath and pressed back against Harry as he reached the Muggle woman asleep at their feet, but he passed them by, unnoticed.

Climbing back out of the window and onto his broom, he was gone.

“Now what?” Ginny whispered.

Harry held her closer and exhaled, loudly.

“Now we stay exactly where we are,” he said firmly.

“But…”

“But nothing. They’ve searched this pod; there’s nowhere safer.”

“And when the pod reaches the bottom, and Muggles rush in to rescue everyone?”

“We stay well back and try and follow them out,” he shrugged.

“But…”

“Hush,” he said, taking a deep breath and popping his Bubble.

“Harry!”

He pressed his face against her Bubble, until it parted and let him in.

“Honestly, Harry, we can’t…”

“We can,” he said, kissing her. “I still have the beautiful view and the beautiful girl.”

“And thirty unconscious Muggles.”

“What could be more romantic?” he demanded.

“What?”

“How else could we be alone in here?”

“We’re not alone!”

He silenced her with a kiss.

By the time their podule reached the ground, her shirt was unbuttoned and Harry was nuzzling at her breasts.

“Harry, stop,” she squeaked. “The Muggle Healers are at the door!”

“Shit,” he muttered, letting her button herself up and standing well back, pressed against the glass, as the unconscious Muggles were carried out.

At the last moment, just before the doors slid closed and the wheel moved on, they slipped through, sneaking past the unofficial hospital ward set up on the pavement, and ending their Bubble Head Charms; they were moving away, hand in hand, when they spotted Ron and Seamus on the steps of the Eye’s ticket office.

They both looked terrified and Ron was fingering his wand in his pocket and they ran over, Cloak streaming behind them.

“Ron, it’s us,” Harry hissed, creeping up behind them.

“Harry?” Ron whispered, turning on his heel. “Where are you?”

“Here,” Harry said, gripping his arm though a fold of the cloak.

“Out of sight,” Ron snapped. “Now.”

He led them round the corner and they ran for the shelter of a railway bridge.

Harry let the cloak slide off and Ron grabbed him by the front of his shirt.

“Are you insane?” he shouted. “Why not spend an hour queuing up for a ride directly over the river from the Ministry?”

“I… I’m sorry.”

“Why not trap yourself in a bubble, up in the sky, ready for Death Eaters to come and get you?” Seamus snapped.

“Just to find somewhere to grope my sister?”

“Hey,” Ginny protested.

“Your shirt isn’t buttoned straight, Ginevra,” Ron said stiffly. “Please make yourself presentable before you go home.”

She flushed, but bowed her head and rebuttoned her shirt.

“Mum is going insane,” Ron said. “You can explain to her what you were doing up there.”

“I’ll take her back,” Seamus said, taking out an emergency Portkey and activating it.

“No you won’t,” Harry said.

“Oh. Yes. He. Will,” Ron said, watching Ginny’s sullen face being whisked out of sight.

He looked at Harry.

“Ron, I…”

“Kingsley blew his cover,” Ron said, over riding him. “He had to leave the Ministry and get to Headquarters to warn us you’d been seen.”

“I’m sorry…”

“All because you were bored, and want to sneak off and grope my sister.”

“No…”

“I told Kingsley it was a false alarm,” Ron said. “I said you wouldn’t do that.”

Harry looked down at Ron’s hands, clenched in fists by his sides.

“I’m sorry,” he whispered. “So very sorry; I didn’t think.”

“You could have been killed,” Ron said.

“Yeah,” Harry sighed. “And then where would we be?”

“I would be without my best friend,” Ron said quietly.

Harry looked up at him.

“I don’t want you kept alive as a weapon,” Ron said, pulling him into a rough hug. “I just want you kept alive, OK?”

“OK,” Harry said, against his neck.

Ron held him at arms length and shook him. “OK.”

“So, we’re OK?”

“Apparently,” Ron snorted. “Let’s go home, yeah?”

“Yeah.”

“You have a lot of other bad tempered Weasleys to placate.”
